ABOUT ME
PROFESSIONAL LIFE
I honed my craft writing and producing for local television news, covering Capitol Hill, writing documentaries for the Discovery Channel, and developing content for the interactive agency AKQA. I also worked in public affairs for mortgage financier Fannie Mae and for the PCAOB, a global financial regulator. Stints at the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of American History enabled me to write museum exhibits, computer interactives, blogs and articles on an array of fascinating subjects.
PERSONAL LIFE
I am a mother, wife, open-water swimmer, dedicated baker, and inveterate traveler. I have driven across country at least 10 times and am trying to get to every U.S. state and national park. Many of the photos on this site are from my wanderings. I love ancient history, anything with Nutella, and good storytelling in any form.
